Mistakes are like snowballs. They just get bigger as you keep rolling down that hill! Here is the downward spiral.
- Thinking it is okay to buy from Autologic after they killed the best tool you ever bought.
- Buying the $14K Autologic Assist
- Thinking that programming an F025 BMW via j-2534 would be okay.
- Trusting that Autologic Assist tech support was qualified to install ISTA correctly.
- Leaving that running process, (going home) before it was done.
Over the last year, some of our customer’s follow (bad) market advice and get in trouble.
In this case, Windows Automatic update was left ON! Update process prompted a re-boot while ISTA-P was still working. FAIL! The shop started ISTA-P again Friday morning, it took over four hours just to pull the VO! It ran all weekend and still failed to complete.
To be fair, Autologic is not the only one giving bad advice RE: BMW via J-2534.
Farsight is recommending a J-2534 for BMW. So is Drew Technologies, and asTech the “new guys”, are all making the same lame recommendations. I also want to put some blame on the NASTF website. ICOM ONLY!
Do you get the point?
