I was at a shop Friday in Colorado Springs called All About Saab.
He has been All About Saab for a long time, but they work on BMW and Audi cars among others.
He was very impressed on an 2011 SAAB that the universal Taiwanese scanner could go into the transmission and pin down a bad shift solenoid!
That was the last SAAB, a true Global Diagnostic System car!
Friday, he had another BMW with injector issues, we need to replace them.
These BMW’s need to have the injector flow rates entered in the PCM in order to work correctly.
With new un-calibrated injectors, the car will run better than before, but it is not right to return it to the customer this way!
The new injectors have different flow rates, the PCM needs to know them to correctly calculate needed fuel.
Then the PCM needs to have the adaptations reset and a re-learn will set new parameters.
