Finally.
We have been trying to connect to a BMW with the ISIS or ISTA or ISID for quite awhile now.
Many months and hours and dollars have gone by.
We bought a Chinese ICOM for testing, now we understand a little bit better, why you don’t buy those.
It has been since October of 2011 that I paid in full for this.
I also had to buy the Dell e-6420.
The ICOM set never fully worked until this weekend. It would connect and pull a VIN, then drop out of communication.
So, a couple of thousand dollars tied up for almost two years.
I paid for a new connector. What I have is a repaired connector!
I will never get what I paid for.
I had to send it back, they did replace a bad chip and replace the noisy cooling fan.
The ISIS is full of great information and diagnostics!
More values and functions than the DIS.
